Christmas Concert Preparations

For this year's holiday show, we are signing and singing the song Up on the Housetop. Here are the words:

Up on the Housetop the reindeer pause
Out jumps good old Santa Claus
Down through the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little ones Christmas joys

Ho ho ho who wouldn't go?
Ho ho ho who wouldn't go?
Up on the Housetop click click click
Down through the chimney good Saint Nick

Signing Lessons

Every Tuesday morning Angie and Lorna facilitate a signing workshop with our class. They are great teachers! We are all learning to communicate better with Angie using sign language.

A boys versus girls "sign off" to finish our session on animals.

What to do with all the Halloween candy wrappers in Qikiqtarjuaq...

For a week after Halloween we collected candy wrappers from students in all classes of Inuksuit school and used them to make a poster reminding people to reduce and reuse their waste. The poster is hanging outside of our classroom.
